Job Summary

The Finance Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the financial health of the bank. This position is responsible for managing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls. The ideal candidate brings both strategic insight and hands-on financial management skills tailored to the community banking environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes across the bank.
  • Produce monthly and quarterly financial performance reports with analysis on variances, trends, and key metrics
  • Create and maintain dynamic financial models to support strategic decision-making and scenario planning
  • Partner with department leaders to analyze and improve performance, efficiency, and capital deployment.
  • Develop executive dashboards and management reports to provide actionable financial insights.
  • Prepare materials and reports for executive leadership and the board of directors.
  • Support the CFO and ALCO with interest rate risk and balance sheet strategy analysis.
  • Analyze funding costs and help develop pricing strategies for deposit products based on market dynamics, customer behavior and competitive positioning.
  • Provide financial input on deposit campaigns, promotions, and pricing changes to optimize net interest margin (NIM).
  • Model impacts of rate shifts on interest income, funding costs, and liquidity using ALM tools or internal models.
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of ALCO reporting packages, including scenario analysis and liquidity stress testing.
  • Collaborate with Treasury and Retail Banking teams to align pricing and growth strategies.
  •  Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including FDIC, FRB, and OCC guidelines
  • Manage daily cash flow, liquidity, and investment activities
  • Oversee internal controls and coordinate audits (internal and external)
  • Work with lending and deposit teams to optimize financial performance
  • Evaluate financial impact of new products, services, or strategic initiatives
  • Implement and maintain financial systems, reporting tools, and automation opportunities
  • Collaborate with external partners such as auditors, regulators, and consultants

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred)
  • 4+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in banking or financial services
  • Strong understanding of banking operations, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting standards
  • Demonstrated experience or familiarity with ALM principles, deposit pricing strategies, and interest rate risk concepts and application.
  •  Advanced financial modeling, budgeting, and analysis tools (Excel, financial software, etc.)
  • Strong analytical mindset with ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
  • Ability to lead the implementation of financial planning and analysis processes
  • Familiarity with core banking systems and general ledger software
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across departments
  • High level of professionalism, integrity and discretion.
