Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Maintenance Engineer to manage the day-to-day upkeep, repair, and safety compliance of multiple bank branches. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional with broad experience in facilities maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, structural, and fire/life safety systems. This position plays a key role in ensuring a safe, operational, and professional environment for staff and customers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and oversee maintenance and repairs of plumbing systems, ensuring reliable water supply and drainage.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems, including single-phase and three-phase systems.
  • Interpret and utilize blueprints and schematics to diagnose issues and support branch remodels or layout changes.
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair smoke detectors, fire alarms, and other life safety systems to ensure full compliance with fire codes.
  • Conduct routine and seasonal power washing of exterior surfaces (e.g., building facades, sidewalks, ATM kiosks).
  • Provide Tier 1 support for banking equipment, including ATMs, by troubleshooting basic issues and coordinating with vendors for escalated service.
  • Perform light construction work including drywall/sheetrock repair, painting, and asphalt repairs.
  • Coordinate with contractors, city/fire officials, state inspectors, and internal staff to ensure all branches comply with safety and building codes.
  • Order parts, supplies, and equipment, and maintain accurate inventory records for each location.
  • Ensure all work is conducted with a focus on safety, efficiency, and minimal disruption to banking operations.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance logs, service reports, and records of inspections and repairs.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of facility maintenance experience, ideally supporting multiple locations.
  • Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems (single & 3-phase), HVAC, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and mechanical schematics.
  • Familiarity with fire and safety codes, and experience working with city/state inspectors.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to travel regularly between branches.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions as needed.

Preferred Skills:

  • OSHA certification or equivalent safety training.
  • Experience working in a financial institution.
