We are seeking a Procurement Buyer I to join our Procurement team in Letchworth. This role plays a vital part in ensuring smooth daily operations by managing purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels, and supporting the organization’s supply needs. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage supplier relationships while delivering excellent internal customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day purchase order requests and follow-ups.
• Ensure applicable customer discounts are applied to purchases.
• Escalate high-volume purchase opportunities for management negotiation.
• Update ETAs in SAP and resolve backorder issues.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders.
• Assist the accounting team with invoice or credit discrepancies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High attention to detail with strong follow-up skills.
• General knowledge of purchasing contracts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience with SAP Business One and Netsuite preferred.
• Knowledge of the security industry is a plus.

Education & Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Buyer or in a similar role.

• Security industry experience is advantageous.

Additional Information

• Work Environment: Office-based role.
• Hours: 40 hours per week, 10am to 7pm.
• Travel: No travel required.
• Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the UK.
