Description

Northland Controls is seeking a Project Engineer to support the Project Management Office (PMO) team in scheduling, planning, forecasting, resource coordination, and managing of technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10 or more years' experience working in a company with a qualified construction license.
  • Strong knowledge in Access Control System and Video. Management System preferred.
  • Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices.

DUTIES

Support the PMO team by:

  • Coordinating project schedules, resources, equipment documentation and information.
  • Liaising with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
  • Ensuring clients’ needs are met as project evolves.
  • Participates in site meetings and facilitate coordination with stakeholders.
  • Assists in preparing action plans.
  • Ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget and with high quality standards.
  • Assist in monitoring the project progress and respond to issues as they arise.
  • Acts as a point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
  • Work with PMO team to eliminate project blockers.
  • Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenses/expenditures.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, plans and reports.
  • Ensure standards and requirement are met through conducting quality assurance tests.
  • Managing small moves, adds, and changes.
  • Required to travel 25%.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Planner, Project).
  • Proficiency in English is desirable for effective communication with global team members.
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Effective organizational and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals.
  • Self-motivated and directed.
