Join the dynamic team at the corporate office of Express Employment International as a Financial Analyst II, where you will play a critical role in protecting franchise investments by assessing the financial capacity of new and existing clients and ensuring strategic support services are in place. Leveraging your industry expertise and analytical prowess, you’ll evaluate key financial data to authorize Express Credit Lines of up to $100,000.
Working closely with the Vice President of Financial Analysis, you’ll help maximize sales opportunities while minimizing financial risk and collection efforts, balancing growth and financial stability with precision. This is more than just a numbers role; it’s about influencing outcomes and shaping the trajectory of our franchise model.
This position sits within our Oklahoma City, based corporate office, currently with an expectation to be onsite 80% of the time.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct extensive research of franchise clients that meet or exceed certain criteria and contract related investigations
- Analyze client’s credit worthiness and financial capacity. Utilizing information sourced from Dun & Bradstreet, and other financial reporting sources approved by the Financial Analysis department
- Awareness of current financial and economic trends, news media, and knowledge of industry trends is essential
- Provide clear and effective communication to franchisee, Developers and Zone Vice Presidents on credit decisions
- Independent resource person for franchise questions regarding all aspects of receivables and receivables management, commission deductions/advances, administration of client relationships including clients exceeding credit limits, credit counseling and mentoring including structuring debt/loss repayment
- Review of consumer applications and credit reports along with additional documents for “new franchise prospects”, “Bridge to Ownership” and “Team With Express” candidates
- Continually update and maintain Watch List, and Do Not Serve List
- Maintain Closed office report and work with clients, previous franchise owner and/or current franchise owner to collect any outstanding A/R
- Successfully negotiate resolution to franchisee debt
- Field franchise queries with broad operations experience pertaining to clients, commissions, accounting, contract issues, Vital Signs and Cash Flow

Success hinges on the ability to interpret incomplete or evolving information, counsel franchise owners on credit principles, and construct tailored repayment strategies that reflect nuanced financial positions. To support continued excellence, the analyst will routinely engage in industry research and professional development, including training offered through Express University, ensuring decisions are informed by current economic trends and legal frameworks.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field required
- Minimum of at least 2 – 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, OR ABILITIES
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures regarding finance, credit principles, accounting, and financial statement analysis. Collection experience is helpful
- Knowledge and awareness of economic conditions/trends and their effects on various industries.
- Rely on independent authority within parameters to perform the position responsibilities
- Working knowledge of terms and conditions in client contracts, legal proceedings and strategies
- Knowledge of proper implementation and disposition of proprietary corporate and franchise information.
- Must be detail oriented with high degree of follow-up, follow-through and documentation
- Engaging customer relations skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Be able to multitask and be adaptable to change
- Ability to negotiate in good faith with resolve
