 Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills. Exceptional organizational and interpersonal communications skills. Problem-solving and project management skills required. History of positive inter-personal relationships and ability to work with employed and contracted providers and staff. Proficiency in procuring supplies, managing budgets, billing. Competency with computer-based healthcare administration including eMR/EHR, MSOffice Suite, project management software.

 

Summary and Position Purpose

Under the general supervision of the VP for Provider Practices the Director of Family Care Clinics coordinates all care of clinic patients with providers. This position serves in a supervisory capacity over all staff through managers, clinical leads, and support team leads. Professional leadership and administrative skills are needed to oversee the day-to-day management of several clinics. Guides all operational activities for patients of diverse clinical and socio-economic needs.

Essential Duties

 

  • Interact with patients, providers, other departments, and healthcare professionals.
  • Assign Tasks and duties managing operations, budgets, billing and scheduling.
  • Oversees internal and external processes for hiring training and performance evaluations of staff and providers
  • Develop procedures to deliver optimal care
  • Interacts with managing clinical and administrative leadership
  • Manages internal and external communications and queries about clinic operations
  • Oversees purchasing, maintenance, and repair of clinic equipment
  • Performs audits, prepares reports, documents financial performance of clinics
  • Supports initiates, plans, programs of Ohio County Healthcare and the Provider Practices division
  • Supervises and motivates clinic staff to perform duties efficiently and correctly

Qualifications

  1. EDUCATION: 4-year degree preferred
  2. PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in provider clinic operations, outpatient management, or provider practice management. Demonstrated successful supervision of clinical and administrative staff.
