JOB SUMMARY

This position provides clinical leadership, direction and administration of day-to-day operations for designated clinical and support departments in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice, while maintaining a high level of visibility at the campus, region and system levels. This position is responsible for driving, supporting and modeling a service-oriented culture focused on associate engagement, quality, patient safety, service excellence, fiscal responsibility, and the overall patient experience. This position serves as a member of the leadership team at the facility, building and supporting effective collegial relationships with applicable internal and external constituents and stakeholders and ensuring optimal operating effectiveness and service delivery. These partnerships also include ongoing collaboration with physician, advanced practice providers, facility and organizational leaders.
 

 

Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelors Nursing degree, Masters preferred   

Experience: Minimum of five years of operational management experience in delivering clinical services in a healthcare setting is required. Experience in the clinical management and delivery of Cancer Services is preferred. 

Skills: Must possess excellent clinical, communication, organizational, leadership and multi-tasking skills, as well as interpersonal, collaborative, team-oriented and operational efficiency skills. Must also have the following skills and aptitudes: Strategic planning and evaluation, Financial analysis and management, Team/partnership orientation, Conflict resolution, Physician relations, and Customer Service. PHYSICAL, MENTAL, ENVIRONMENTAL AND WORKING CONDITIONS

Required to work flexible schedule including weekends.  Requires full range of body motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.  Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time.  Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds.  Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.  Requires working under stressful conditions.  Requires exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
