JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing program, ACLS required Conscious Sedation
Licensure: Current license by the State of Georgia as a Registered Professional Nurse, CPR Required.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years experience, Medical/Surgical Nursing, preferably two (2) years of which have been in a critical care unit, emergency department, or experience working in an operating room setting
Skills: Ability to perform in critical cares situations. Ability to use physiological monitoring and/or Radiologic equipment. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and employees within the organization. Ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patient’s needs that are age appropriate. Ability to select proper instrumentation/supplies appropriate for age group of patient served. Ability to administer moderate sedation, dysrhythmia recognition and treatment, CPR, establish and maintain peripheral intravenous access, ACLS certification, continuous monitoring of vital signs and oximetry with knowledge base for recognition of abnormalities and working with physician for treatment corrections. Required to obtain skill sets necessary to fill in and cover call in the Imaging department.
