JOB SUMMARY

The Revenue Integrity Analyst is responsible for maintenance and accuracy of the charge master in Epic for all Vitruvian entities (HB/PB).  Also responsible for determining and identifying variations in daily charges across all revenue generating departments.  Additional duties include identifying potential issues related to system failures or system updates, working with the IT team on Epic updates and adjustments, reviewing denial trends for documentation and charging opportunities, and serving as a liaison between administration and revenue generating departments regarding total charge variations and revenue opportunities.

Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or in Information Systems related field.  Experience in a healthcare environment.

Licensure: Credentials in clinical practice or health information technologies are preferred. Epic Certification is required (May hire into position without certification but must attain certification within first 45 days of HHCS sponsored Epic training to continue employment).  CPC, COC, CCS, CRIP, CHRI or other applicable certifications preferred.

Experience: 3-5 years within a progressive information technology organization and Hospital/Health Care organizational experience.  Experience with Epic charge master setup, and familiarity with CDM structure, content, and maintenance, as well as revenue integrity operations, charge capture, or revenue cycle operations.

Skills: Proficient in Excel, Word and Power Point.  Proven excellence with oral and written communications.  Strong attention to detail and possess a high analytical ability.  Understanding of CPT, HCPCS, Revenue Codes, UB-04, 1500, and ICD-10-CM preferred.  Understanding of compliance issues and their importance and consequences.
