The Union Health Center is a nationally recognized, innovative primary and specialty care practice in a state-of-the-art facility in the Chelsea neighborhood in New York City. The Center provides multidisciplinary team-based care and is an NCQA-certified level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home.

We are seeking a Part-Time Endocrinologist to join our practice. The ideal candidate will be board certified in Internal or Family Medicine and board certified in Endocrinology, looking to join our dedicated and collegial team. This position is completely outpatient.

REPORTS TO:                  CEO / CMO

FLSA:                                HOURLY

PAY RANGE:                     $145 to $195 HOURLY (BASED ON EXPERIENCE)

WORK SCHEDULE:         2 Days Per Week - 8AM to 6PM - Flexible – Monday to Friday

 

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Investigate, diagnose, and treat full range of endocrine system disorders, which encompasses everything from diabetes to hyperthyroidism to osteoporosis
  • Provide comprehensive diabetes care using a team-based approach to care, utilizing our team of primary care providers, health coaches and nutritionists to help patients successfully treat diabetes and prevent its complications
  • Consult with patients about the status of their endocrine health, while providing them with the latest advancements in care
  • Order tests and interpret results to determine the best treatment options
  • Maintain appropriate medical records and results

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • MD or DO with NY State and Federal Narcotic Use Registration
  • Completion of an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Residency
  • Board Certified in Endocrinology and any additional relevant Endocrine sub-specialties
  • Completion of accredited relevant fellowship training program(s) in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism
  • Unrestricted New York State Medical License
  • Current New York State License Registration
  • Current New York State DEA certificate
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Must have current self-coverage for malpractice insurance – Claim Limit $1,300,000 / Annual Aggregate Limit $3,900,000
