Position Summary:


The Homewood Suites Dishwasher is a key team member tasked with ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas. More than just washing dishes, they play a critical role in upholding the high standards of cleanliness and sanitation that patrons expect from a reputable establishment like Homewood Suites. Detail-oriented, efficient time management, and a dedicated work ethic are crucial for excelling in this position. Collaborating with other staff members to meet customer needs promptly is part of their responsibilities.   • Operating and maintaining kitchen equipment, including dishwashers, to ensure cleanliness and functionality
  • Sorting and organizing dishes, utensils, and kitchenware for efficient washing and storage
  • Washing, rinsing, and sanitizing dishes and kitchen tools using prescribed methods and chemicals
  • Inspecting dishes for cleanliness and ensuring they are stored appropriately
  • Assisting with kitchen maintenance tasks, such as trash removal and floor cleaning
  • Adhering to hygiene and safety standards at all times to uphold a clean and secure kitchen environment
  • Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely service delivery

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with individuals from diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in hotel food and beverage.
  • Exhibit a service-oriented approach with polished professional presentation skills.
  • Essential strengths include high energy, an entrepreneurial mindset, adept communication skills, excellence in delivering exceptional customer service, and the ability to enhance operational efficiency.

 

Working as a Dishwasher at Homewood Suites involves essential physical activities such as standing, walking, and bending for extended periods. Dishwashers must lift and carry items up to 50 lbs, requiring strength and proper lifting techniques. Hand-eye coordination is crucial for handling dishware and operating equipment. Visual abilities like depth perception and focus are also necessary. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
