JOB DESCRIPTION

Role

The Solution Engineer (SE) role focuses on the technical and solution driven aspects of client’s products and builds. The SE will build relationships with potential and existing client engineering teams to promote a partnership in all technical aspects of the clients’ products. They also will act as a liaison between the client, quoting and sales. The Solution Engineer will be essential in ensuring that the technical aspects of a product align with customer needs, ultimately supporting the sales process and contributing to the company's success. 

 

This role is available fully onsite in Reno, NV, or remote for candidates located in Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Qualifying leads based on predefined VSE capabilities and prioritize prospects with the highest potential for conversion
  • Proactively utilize electronics knowledge to organize client documentation in the VSE format
  • Working closely with the Business executive team to progress clients through the VSE MEDDPPIC sales process
  • Prepare and coordinate all revision changes from current clients to promote a smooth transition on quotes and orders
  • Analyzing requests for quotes (RFQs) to ensure all necessary information is gathered from the customer
  • Ensuring all pre-quote documentation comply with company policies and procedures 
  • Assist in identifying assembly cycle time for SMT, PTH, testing and secondary assembly operations before, during and after quoting 
  • In coordination with the account executive team, proactively engage with clients to up-sell or cross-sell additional products or services to meet their evolving needs and maximize revenue opportunities
  • Contributing to the development of new processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness 
  • Drive retention and growth among customers by understanding their business needs and helping them succeed
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, including client interactions, opportunities, and sales forecasts and closed orders using CRM software
  • Maintains a cadence of communication with prospective clients to increase touch points and drive to warm lead handoffs
  • Updating and maintaining accurate records of interactions and progress in the CRM system
  • Follow all necessary internal documented processes required for quotes 
  • Participate in Quote Strategy / Attend Kick-Off calls 
  • Detailed technical review of customer documentation as necessary 
  • Build and manage relationships with site engineering resources 
  • Participate in the post build action plan to assure accuracy on future builds.  “Lessons learned”

Qualifications

  • 5 years’ experience in electronics manufacturing Industry. 
  • Knowledge of PCBA and electrical engineering 
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Experience working with internal and external team 
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build rapport and establish trust with prospects. 
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
