SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

- High School diploma or GED required. Electronics technical school graduate is preferred.
- 3+ years of hands on experience with SMT assembly techniques, equipment and processes
- Previous experience with and training on IPC-A-610
- Previous experience with and training on J-STD-001
REQUIRED/PREFERRED SKILLS
- Must be familiar with Surface Mount Technology (SMT), electronic components and assembly processes used throughout the industry
- Ability to use “Mantis” type microscopes to perform visual inspections of SMT assemblies as required
- Ability to identify and understand the different pitch and feeder type configurations for tape and reel, cut tape, tube based and JEDEC tray components
- Knowledge of electronics components commonly used in the industry. This will include full understanding of polarity, part marking information, package size and footprints on PWB’s.
- Ability to interpret and apply IPC-A-610 acceptability standards to meet and exceed customer requirements and specifications
- Ability to read, interpret and work from verbal instructions as well as work instructions
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to operate a computer for the facilitation of technical documents on a secure network
- Must be comfortable working in fast-paced environment
