Adams Land and Cattle is looking for individuals to work in our scale offices this harvest season. The ideal candidate is an effective communicator with strong multitasking and problem solving skills.

This person will be responsible for:
Â

Maintaining scale traffic to ensure trucks are in and out of the lot in a safe and timely manner.

Communicating effectively with commodity drivers face-to-face and/or through the CB radio.

Accurately recording incoming commodities via Agtech (ALCC's computerized scale/inventory system).Â

Recording pertinent information, such as producer names, field locations, truck numbers, and commodity weights.

Sampling and testing corn for moisture content.
-
Maintaining daily logs, spreadsheets, and other reports as assigned.

Maintaining work area and equipment in a safe and clean manner.

Assisting team members in accomplishing daily goals and priorities.

Maintaining Adams Land & Cattle standard of professionalism when dealing with employees, visitors, and customers.

Performing other job-related functions as needed.

Reliable and prompt.

Basic knowledge of computers.

Good communication skills.

Ability to move quickly between tasks; working through a variety of tasks in the same timeframe.

Accurate and efficient data entry with a high attention to detail.

Ability to self-check data entered.

Background or interest in the animal agriculture industry.

Previous office or administrative experience is beneficial.

Available to work a varied schedule, including 7:00 am to 2:00 pm and 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, with possible weekends.Â
