The Associate Program Manager I (APM I) is the public facing staff person responsible for managing the implementation of the Combined Federal Campaign within designated departments/agencies in an assigned zone(s). The APM I will work under the direction of the Program Manager for the assigned zone(s) while engaging with all campaign workers and their leadership to achieve campaign goals. The APM I is responsible for the management of account activities, to include, volunteer program management, special projects as assigned, implementing and innovating campaign strategies and tactics to ensure achievement of fundraising goals, and meeting all assigned contract deliverables. This position requires the qualified candidate to be a self-starter who can multi-task in a fast-paced environment, work strategically and in close collaboration with other teams, and local zone staff across multiple zones.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Campaign Management Support

  • Lead assigned campaign-related operations within given area of responsibility.
  • Develop relationships with applicable department, agency, and office leadership and respective aides through briefings, meetings, and other communications.
  • Support the Program Managers efforts to assist the LFCC in the identification, recruitment, training, support, motivation, and ongoing management of campaign workers including LFCC members, Loaned Executives, Campaign Managers, and Keyworkers virtually and in person as appropriate.
  • Compile, track and update important campaign data such as campaign locations, contacts, and trainings.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of agency level campaign plans to include strategies to increase zone participation and overall giving. The plan should include a social media, publicity, large scale campaign events, training sessions, recognition programs leadership development, and ongoing communications.
  • In collaboration with the Program Manager, develop a training schedule and deliver training to the LFCC, Agency Leadership, Loaned Executives, Campaign Managers and Keyworkers via in-person or virtual sessions.
  • Monitor and respond to helpdesk inquiries.
  • Implement weekly motivational communication with campaign workers.
  • Achieve fundraising dollar, participation, and other goals established by the OPM, LFCC, and Program Manager.
  • Respond to all phone and e-mail inquiries within 24 hours of receipt.
  • May support Program Manager with maintaining files, drafting various forms of correspondence, spreadsheets, reports, and presentations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Campaign Marketing

  • Assist Program Manager with the implementation of approved annual marketing and social media plan, which may include:
    • Local campaign website edits and updates.
    • Collaboration with the Charity Relations Team (CRT) to support campaign volunteers in planning agency level events and charity fairs, local charity education and outreach to maximize charity participation and involvement in CFC campaign events.
    • Supporting large-scale multi-zone events, to include ensuring leadership is prepped with background information, speeches, and talking points; posting photos on social media; and possibly participating in speaking roles.
    • Promoting the campaign via social media platforms as needed.
    • Implementation of approved annual awards plan.
    • Supporting community engagement activities such as contests and partnerships.
    • Implementation of an annual communication awareness plan for local media, agency public affairs offices, public service announcements, social media, local community events, and if applicable - military installation publications and Armed Forces radio and television.

Reporting

  • Prepare and provide accurate and timely campaign metrics and reports as requested.
  • Assist in conducting after action review (AAR) and feedback collection for performance evaluation.
  • Ensure timely submission of time and attendance records, invoices, campaign expenses, travel requests and travel expense reports.
  • Complete additional assignments, serve on task forces and complete special projects as assigned by the Program Manager.
  • Assures uniform compliance with all company organizational policies and procedures.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an effective team player.
  • Available to travel as needed.
  • MS Office suite proficiency.
  • Well organized and detail oriented.
  • Solid computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new online platforms.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with a focus on results.
  • Must be able to work effectively within the military and federal government environment.
  • Demonstrated ability in training, marketing, logistics administration and/or fundraising.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Recommend Bachelors Degree or equivalent.
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in nonprofit, federal service, project management, fundraising, sales, and/or training.
  • Experience supervising volunteers a plus.
  • Prior CFC Experience a plus.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
