Tribal Tech, LLC seeks student interns who desire to work in the Human Resources, Finance or Marketing and Communications field upon graduation. Interns will support the work of the Tribal Tech Corporate Office.

Our Human Resources department handles recruiting, compensation, employee benefits, employee retention, training, professional development, legal and regulatory compliance, and workplace safety. You will learn recruitment, interviewing and onboarding processes and how to use Human Resource Information Systems.

Our Finance Department handles day-to-day demands on business cash flows and long-term financing goals. Our finance team’s tasks include managing payroll, invoicing clients, and processing expense reports. You will learn basic knowledge of the chart of accounts, general ledger, and financial reporting. You will learn the process of federal contract invoicing and government contract overview.

Our Marketing and Communications Department promotes Tribal Tech services via digital marketing platforms such as social media and coordinates internal communications for employee engagement opportunities. You will learn what it is like to provide marketing and communications work in-house at a government services company and how a marketing and communications team strategizes new projects and stays organized. You will learn new branding and content creation.

Location: Alexandria, VA

Qualifications:

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be self-directed, able to work independently, and highly motivated.
  • Must be detail-oriented, dependable, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Extensive working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is highly desired. Working knowledge of MS SharePoint is also helpful.
  • Pursuing a degree at accredited Tribal Colleges, four-year colleges or universities, recent college graduates (within two (2) years), or students enrolled in a Graduate program.

Schedule:

  • 15- 40 hours per week, during regular business hours (Monday- Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm)
  • 8-12 weeks.
