Full Time E-Commerce Books Supervisor

The E-Commerce Books Supervisor will oversee the daily activities of their assigned department; E-Books comprised of depts 187 and 189. 

Major Responsibilities: 

• Supervise a diverse workforce by motivating and inspiring the team to ensure a positive work environment and employee morale. 

• Responsible for the day-to-day operations including supervision of staff and training of new employees. 

• Responsible for ensuring all daily department duties are completed on time accurately. 

• Maintain performance goals for employees and continually monitor performance. 

• Provide coaching and support to employees. 

• Opening and closing the department and all requirements of these activities. 

• Work a full-time schedule that meets the needs of the business. 

• Developing quality control standards for the handling and storage of items. 

• Ensure merchandise is listed in accordance with written guidelines from corporate staff as well as verbal and written instructions of E-Commerce Senior Operations Manager. 

• Merchandise should be listed to optimize sales with consideration given to maximizing recovered value. 

• Ensure the working environment is always safe for employees, appropriately report or correct unsafe conditions and require attention. 

• Work closely with the Facilities department to address and correct concerns. 

• Work with corporate Loss Prevention and Safety to ensure company assets are always protected. Will participate in coaching and training activities that support this requirement. 

• Provide a neat, clean and work environment. 

• Operate Forklift and other equipment as needed. 

• Perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements 

Job Specifications: 

• Must be able to read and write English proficiently. 

Education required: 

• High school diploma or equivalent management experience. 

• Must possess proficient use of basic math skills and/or accounting. 

• Ability to type 40 words per minute (Verification and testing may be required). 

Experience required: 

• 2-3 years of management experience, E-Commerce experience preferred. 

• Solid fiscal management experience. 

• Experience supervising people with barriers. 

• Forklift Certification 

• Entrepreneurial focus on creating value for the company and brand. 

• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution of detailed retail efforts. 

• Must be able to work occasional holidays, evenings and weekends. 

• Excellent interpersonal skills. 

• Team player and team builder.

• Work environment – generally inside 100% - however may include outside work on occasion. 

Pay Range 

$22.00 hourly
