Description

Summary

Founded in Santa Clara County in 1928, Goodwill of Silicon Valley (GWSV) is dedicated to improving employment opportunities, increasing standards of living, providing economic independence, and restoring our clients’ sense of self-worth. We achieve this through workforce creation, vocational training, and environmental stewardship. With 18 retail stores, an online store, an extensive reuse/recycling operation, and our Mission Services division, we help individuals overcome barriers to employment, build sustainable lives, and strengthen communities.

The Career Development Program (CDP) is a comprehensive work experience initiative designed to support entry-level employees as they transition into their roles and develop their professional skills. This program aims to foster a smooth onboarding experience while equipping participants with the tools they need to thrive in their current and future careers.

The CDP Training Program is designed to strengthen employee skills, consistency, and performance across GWSV. This program provides structured, hands-on learning experiences that build both technical and professional competencies essential for success in key organizational roles, especially in our retail stores. Under the supervision of the L&D Manager, Trainers are responsible for developing and delivering engaging, role-specific training that ensures team members and leaders have the tools and knowledge they need to excel in their positions and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and growth.

We are seeking an individual who is bilingual in Spanish and English and has facilitation or classroom experience. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively deliver training in both languages, foster engagement across diverse learning groups, and support the development of a workforce that reflects the diverse communities we serve.

While the program centers on developing job-related skills and consistent performance, Trainers may also help participants access internal and community resources that promote success at work, personal well-being, and long-term career development.
