Marketing and Digital Experience Manager

Location: Central Office

Reports To: Director of Marketing and Communications

 

Summary of Role

The Marketing & Digital Experience Manager leads external marketing strategies, oversees the church’s digital platforms (websites, apps, and social media), and ensures a compelling and consistent brand presence that connects people to Christ through Celebration Church. This role integrates creative marketing, digital communications, and technical oversight to increase engagement, attract new members, and strengthen community impact.

 

Position Status & Schedule

  • Exempt, Salary
  • Full-time (40 hours)
  • Sunday through Thursday; hours vary based on events (will include evenings/weekends as required)
  • Christmas, Easter, Pursuit Weeks, and Dream Team Appreciation service dates and times are blackout days for time off. Other events will be required outside of your regular schedule; you will be informed in advance of these requirements. 

 

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

 

Leadership

  • Provide leadership and direction for marketing and digital initiatives within the Communications Team.
  • Supervise staff and Dream Team volunteers, fostering development and alignment with church vision.
  • Collaborate with IT and Communications teams on website, app, and digital innovation.

 

Marketing & Branding

  • Develop and execute external marketing strategies that align with church goals.
  • Ensure consistent branding across all platforms (websites, apps, social media, advertising, signage).
  • Create compelling campaigns, stories, and creative content to promote ministries, events, and outreach.
  • Manage media buys, PR opportunities, and relationships with community partners.

 

Digital Strategy & Online Presence

  • Oversee website(s), app(s), social media, and email communications to ensure functionality, usability, and alignment with church goals.
  • Publish and maintain digital content; streamline navigation for excellent user experience.
  • Implement SEO/SEM best practices and track analytics to improve reach and engagement.
  • Ensure site/app security, resolve bugs, and coordinate with IT and contractors for technical needs.
  • Promote online service experiences and schedule online hosts to engage digital audiences.

 

Analytics & Reporting

  • Conduct market research to understand community demographics and needs.
  • Collect and analyze web, app, and campaign data to measure performance.
  • Provide regular reports and dashboards with actionable insights.

 

Dream Team Development

  • Recruit, train, and lead Dream Team volunteers to support marketing, online hosting, and digital initiatives.

 

Financial

  • Oversee budgets related to marketing, websites, and apps.
  • Manage purchasing, expense tracking, and ROI reporting for digital and marketing efforts.

 

Contribute to the overall successful of Celebration Church by performing other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

  • Must complete all steps of Connection Point within 60 days of hire.

 

Competencies

  • Passion for connecting people to Christ through excellence in communication and technology.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Strategic thinker with creativity, problem-solving, and adaptability.
  • Skilled in digital marketing (Google Ads, SEO/SEM, paid social).
  • Knowledge of web/app management, analytics, and CMS platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and macOS.
  • Willingly flexes schedule to support projects and events as needed

 

Education & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or digital media.
  • 2+ years of experience with web/app management or related technology fields.
  • Certifications in Google Ads, Google Analytics, or social media advertising preferred.

 

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position ~75% of the time.
  • Occasionally move about inside church facilities and handle equipment up to 20 pounds.
  • Regularly work in an open office environment and occasionally outdoors in varied climates.
