Summary
The Regional Retail Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to multiple bank branches within an assigned region. This role oversees Retail Managers and is accountable for ensuring exceptional customer service, operational compliance, financial performance, and employee engagement. The Regional Retail Manager plays a critical role in aligning regional branch performance with overall organizational goals and strategies, fostering a high-performance culture focused on growth, community involvement, and operational excellence.
Essential Duties
• Achieve branch goals related to deposit growth, loan production, customer service, and community engagement.
• Ensure all branches are appropriately staffed and that succession planning and talent development are in place.
• Develop and implement regional retail banking strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to establish and monitor performance metrics and KPIs for branches.
• Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
• Partner with Marketing and Operations teams to execute regional initiatives and campaigns.
• Ensure all branches operate in accordance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all branches operate within the regulatory framework regarding permissions and duties.
• Review operational audits and risk assessments and ensure timely resolution of any compliance issues.
• Support consistent implementation of internal controls, security procedures, and loss prevention standards.
• Monitor and drive sales performance across the region by guiding and training Retail Managers on goal setting and sales strategies.
• Identify and respond to service gaps or escalated customer concerns.
• Manage regional budgets, including branch-level P&Ls, staffing models, and expense control.
• Manage regional trends in exceptions and enforce guidelines regarding exceptions.
• Represent the bank in the community through involvement in civic and community organizations.
• Encourage branch participation in local events and community development activities.
• Support business development efforts and strengthen local market presence through partnerships and outreach.
Secondary Duties
The Regional Retail Manager performs duties specific to the position and other functions as assigned.
Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with all bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

• Possess and maintain a current driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage. Both are required to drive while performing assigned duties and responsibilities.
• Possess and maintain adequate skills in computer operation, including email, word processing, spreadsheet, and specialty software programs.
• Possess and maintain adequate typing skills to meet the needs of the position.
• Possess and maintain adequate math skills to meet the needs of the position. This may include the ability to count currency and coin, calculate interest, balance accounts, add, subtract, multiply, and locate routine mathematical errors.
• Practice effective and efficient organizational and time management skills.
• Be able to work with general supervision while performing duties.
• Use effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. This includes the ability to apply common sense when carrying out instructions, interpreting documents, understanding procedures, writing reports and correspondence, and speaking clearly to customers and employees.
• Be able to deal with routine problems involving multiple facets and variables in standardized situations.
Supervisor Responsibility
The Regional Retail Manager is responsible for the supervision of their region's Retail Managers and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the bank's policies and applicable laws, ensuring adherence to EEO guidelines.

The environment for this position is primarily a non-confined office-type setting in which employees are free to move about at will. This environment may include some minor annoyances, such as noise, odors, drafts, temperatures, etc.
Physical demands include writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 25 pounds), driving, carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjusted focus), sitting, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling, and reaching.
