POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary purpose of this position is to learn and assist the lead installer with the install of all company products accurately according to company procedures and guidelines, always in a safe and timely manner with courtesy and professionalism. Install Apprentice is a position that is designed for an individual that can meet the required skills found on the Install Helper Training Evaluation Form. At anytime during employment, the Installer Apprentice may enter the Installer Training Class to become a fully certified Installer, provided the following conditions have been met:
- All prerequisites for advancement (As per the Helper/Apprentice Evaluation Form)
- Minimum age requirements
- Install lead recommends advancement
- Installer Position open in Branch
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Arrives at shop at the scheduled time set by installation manager and lead installer.
- Installs all products correctly according to company procedures and guidelines.
- Respects customers’ property and leave work area clean.
- Completes all necessary paperwork associated with installations and service calls accurately.
- Responsible for workmanship on all installations under lead installer’s supervision.
- Assists lead installer in keeping van stocked with all necessary tools, job components and paperwork.
- Responsible in assisting lead with daily upkeep, maintenance and security of the van.
- When directed, ensures the safe and proper setup/tear-down of Event Marketing displays.
- Demonstrate flexibility in responding to scheduling changes, due to the nature of the position.
- Attends Production Department meetings as required.
- Maintains a valid drivers’ license and a clean record to maintain insurability for operating company-owned vehicles, if meeting minimum driving age requirements.
- Exercises and enforces compliance to company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS CONTINUED:
- Wears the Kitchen Saver uniform on the job, observing rules of good grooming and hygiene.
- Maintains a pleasant and professional attitude when dealing with internal/external customers.
- Demonstrates professional behavior while in company uniform and driving company vehicles.
- Other job-related duties as assigned by management.
ABILITIES AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to successfully complete a background check, drug test and Human Performance Evaluation
- Must be proficient in reading & writing using the English language
- Must have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Must be able to lift 100 pounds from floor to waist
- Must be able to perform repetitive bending, turning, twisting, kneeling and reaching motions, in addition to lifting some materials overhead
- Must be able to use power tools and hand tools
- Must be able to read a tape measure
- Must have mechanical abilities
EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be at least 19 years of age and must possess a valid State driver’s license and have an excellent safety record.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS:
Must have a valid driver’s license.
