Position Description Summary/Purpose:

If you enjoy organizing information, developing persuasive copy, and bringing structure to complex ideas, then this position could be for you! We’re looking for a content strategist who can craft marketing materials that inform and inspire prospective students in support of Goodwin University and University of Bridgeport’s recruitment efforts. As a Marketing Content Strategist, you’ll play a vital role in shaping messaging across media while collaborating with teams across the universities. No two days will be the same as you manage diverse marketing content projects and coordinate information from academic programs, departments, and stakeholders. Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities:

- Supports enrollment and recruitment marketing efforts by delivering clear, concise, and persuasive content tailored to prospective student audiences for various needs (website, print, blog, email communication, press releases, etc.)
- Works closely with the Assistant Director of Communications and Content Strategy to develop and organize accurate, compelling copy for marketing collateral such as direct mail, program sheets, informational guides, and webpages
- Builds and maintains email drip campaigns, including content creation, scheduling, and performance tracking
- Coordinates content development with faculty, staff, and academic departments to ensure program information (curricula, requirements, outcomes) is accurate and up to date
- Coordinates marketing materials projects, collaborating with designers, admissions, and other stakeholders
- Contributes creative ideas during team brainstorming and content development sessions
- Special projects and other duties as assigned

- Strong organizational writing skills with an ability to gather, synthesize, and structure complex information into clear, persuasive, and informational copywriting
- Excellent project management and time-management skills; ability to coordinate multiple priorities
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms and drip campaign development (e.g., Slate, Mailchimp, or similar)
- Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and translate academic/program information into accessible marketing content
- Strategic thinker with attention to detail and ability to see the “big picture” in content strategy
- Excellent grammar skills; strong proofreader and editor
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Understanding of the Universities’ goals and initiatives
- Ability to multitask and handle shifting priorities
- Ability to use AI as a tool to assist in content development and copywriting
- Familiarity with MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Understanding of Associated Press Stylebook and New York Times Manual of Style (preferred)
- Basic photography skills (preferred)
- Basic understanding of SEM/SEO (preferred)
- Basic experience with general AI platforms (preferred)
- Familiarity with Word Press (preferred)
- Familiarity with project management platforms (preferred)
- Familiarity with mass email clients and strategy
- Experience in project management or content coordination (preferred).
