Position Description Summary/Purpose:
The Part-Time Instructor for the CNA/PCT Program is responsible for providing classroom, lab, and clinical instruction to prepare students for certification and entry-level healthcare careers. This role includes teaching essential nursing assistant and patient care skills, evaluating student performance, and ensuring compliance with state and program standards. The instructor supports student success by fostering a positive learning environment, maintaining accurate records, and staying current with industry practices. Candidates must hold a current RN or LPN license with at least two years of nursing experience; prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

- Deliver engaging classroom instruction in accordance with state-approved curriculum guidelines.
- Demonstrate and supervise students in performing essential nursing assistant and patient care skills.
- Ensure student learning outcomes are met through effective teaching strategies, assessments, and feedback.
- Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and student performance records.
- Provide individualized support and guidance to promote student success.
- Stay current with industry standards, certification requirements, and healthcare best practices.
- Uphold program compliance with state and accrediting body requirements.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and program improvement initiatives.
Other Functions:
- Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation dictates.
- Continuing professional development and training; keeps current with trends.
- Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort.
