Position Description Summary/Purpose:
The Part-Time EKG Adjunct Instructor is responsible for providing engaging instruction and hands-on training to students enrolled in the Electrocardiography (EKG) Program. The instructor ensures that all coursework and practical components align with institutional objectives, accreditation standards, and current healthcare industry practices. This position involves preparing and delivering lectures, demonstrating EKG procedures, supervising clinical simulations, assessing student progress, and fostering an inclusive learning environment that supports the development of competent and confident healthcare professionals.
Essential Job Functions/Primary Responsibilities:

- Provide high-quality instruction in EKG theory, cardiac anatomy and physiology, rhythm interpretation, and clinical procedures.
- Demonstrate and supervise hands-on practice of EKG procedures, lead placements, Holter monitoring, and stress testing.
- Evaluate student performance through written exams, skill demonstrations, and clinical competencies.
- Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and progress records in accordance with university and program policies.
- Ensure lab safety, equipment maintenance, and proper supply inventory.
- Participate in curriculum development, faculty meetings, and training sessions.
- Support the Program Director in ensuring compliance with institutional, state, and accreditation standards.
- Serve as a professional mentor to students, promoting ethical and compassionate patient care practices.
Other Functions:
