Job Overview

The Finance Intern will support the Finance Department by assisting with financial reporting, analysis, data entry, and other operational and strategic finance tasks. This internship offers hands-on experience in credit union finance, including exposure to financial statements, budgeting processes, and financial systems. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to gain practical knowledge in the financial services industry.

Position Details:

12020 Rojas El Paso, Tx 79936

Monday-Friday

Internship will run from June-August 31st. 

Pay Details:

$15.00 an hour

Qualifications

Skills and Experience

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Strong interest in financial services or credit union operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Role Description and Essential Duties

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering and analyzing data.
  • Help prepare variance analysis and identify financial trends.
  • Input, update, and maintain financial data in budgeting system and Excel models.
  • Conduct research and provide support for investment and loan portfolio analysis.
  • Collaborate with other department on special projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in audits by preparing documentation and organizing files.
  • Assist with all other duties as assigned or identified.
