Position Summary:
The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients and supporting kitchen operations to ensure meals are produced efficiently, accurately, and safely. This role involves following recipes, maintaining food safety standards, and assisting chefs and cooks in delivering high-quality menu items.

Key Responsibilities:
- Wash, peel, cut, and prepare vegetables, fruits, meats, and other ingredients according to recipes and kitchen standards.
- Prepare, season, and cook menu items according to recipes and production schedules.
- Measure, weigh, and portion food items for cooking or storage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work area at all times.
- Properly store food items using correct labeling, dating, and rotation (FIFO method).
- Assist in receiving, inspecting, and properly storing food and supplies.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or needs to supervisor.
- Assist chefs and line cooks with daily prep lists and special tasks as needed.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely (slicers, mixers, ovens, etc.).
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist in receiving, inspecting, and properly storing food and supplies
- Dispose of waste properly and support dishwashing/cleaning as needed.
- Work as part of a team to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
