The Deputy Director of Student Accounts/Cash Management supports the Director in overseeing Georgia Military College’s (including the Preparatory School) student account receivables and Federal/State receivables. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in billing, collections, and financial reporting, while contributing to policy development, data forecasting, and team support.
Primary responsibilities:
- Assist the Director in managing student receivables, including billing, payments, scholarships, and collections for both the College and Preparatory School.
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of departmental policies and procedures.
- Cross-train with Student Accounts staff to provide operational backup during extended absences.
- Serve as liaison for compliance with Title IV, State, and Federal regulations, including responsibility for annual 1098-T reporting.
- Contribute to the design and maintenance of dashboards to present financial data in clear, visual, and written formats.
- Assist with the creation of forecasting models to predict financial outcomes and support strategic decision-making.
- Provide leadership in resolving escalated student account concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and strong internal controls.
