Taylor Engineering, Inc. is offering a summer internship program for 2026 at our Jacksonville, FL office. This is a great opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience while working on real-world projects in their field of interest.
Interns will participate in the daily activities of projects, gaining practical exposure to professional methods and skills. The program focuses on developing core competencies, such as analysis, planning, financial responsibility, record-keeping, programming, public speaking, and teamwork. Interns will also gain insight into the full life-cycle of a project and learn how Taylor Engineering operates as a business.
This paid internship provides valuable learning opportunities and is an excellent way to build experience in the engineering industry.

Application Developer Intern
The Application Development intern will assist the other application development staff to build, test, and document new and existing applications and databases.
The intern applicant must be completing his/her bachelor’s degree or master’s degree.

Coastal Engineering Intern
The Coastal Engineering intern will potentially work on one or more of the following tasks: general coastal engineering analyses, monitoring reports, numerical modeling, or coastal field data collection.
The intern applicant must be working on a degree related to coastal engineering.

Environmental Services InternÂ
The Environmental Services intern will work both in the office and in the field to help complete tasks related to environmental permitting, natural resource investigations, environmental sampling, construction observation, and/or GIS (no GIS experience necessary).
The intern applicant must be completing his/her bachelor’s degree or master’s degree.

GIS Intern
Join Taylor Engineering’s GIS team and work on cutting-edge projects tackling flood risk, sea level rise, and coastal vulnerability across Florida’s most at-risk communities. As a GIS intern, you'll support real-world analysis using ESRI’s ArcGIS platform to help visualize climate threats and inform resilience strategies.

The Waterfront Engineering intern will assist in engineering work involving waterfront structures, dredging and navigation, environmental permitting, and construction administration.
