Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Radiologist to join our team. As a Radiologist, you will be responsible for performing and interpreting various medical imaging procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Your expertise in sonography, CT scans, PET scans, X-rays, and other diagnostic evaluations will be crucial in providing accurate and timely results.

Minimum Qualification:

Education – Incumbent must have successfully completed a post-high school accredited radiologic technology program.

Experience – A minimum one year (1) of relevant work experience preferred.

Licenses & Certification – Must be registered as a Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Must possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Knowledge & Skills –

1. Knowledge of radiation physics, such as kilo voltage, milliamperes and time.

2. Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology and pathology

3. Knowledge of methods, techniques, and quality control required for processing digital images with optimal results.

4. Skills in obtaining adequate diagnostic imaging results on patients for which normal techniques and methods are not possible, requiring techniques which deviate from normal.

5. Ability to perform radiographic examinations in a variety of conditions, such as emergency trauma and have the ability to manage patient care in trauma/high stress situations.

6. Ability to communicate courteously and effectively to patients, other staff, physicians, and the general public.

7. Knowledge and skill to establish and modify standard procedures, conduct analysis and evaluation, identify problems and be self-motivated to resolve problems independently.

8. Ensures that routine and priority tasks are completed within established departmental time frames.

9. Knowledge of common business, medical electronic health record and picture archiving, communication system (PACS) software applications and preliminary report generation.

JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of the position is to aid the radiologist in performing specific diagnostic radiographic examinations as well as assist fellow technologists, as described in the Radiology Department’s Policies and Procedures.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in hospital and clinic environments. There is common exposure to infectious communicable disease, potentially hazardous chemicals, and biohazardous materials. Incumbent must be aware of all risks involved and be willing to take precautions as required and requested. Special attire may be required as protection against infection and radiation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work requires long periods of standing and walking. Working with patients requires recurring bending, stooping, stretching and positioning patients. Ability to lift 50 pounds is required to perform positional duties. Incumbent will also have to cope with frequent changes in a stressful environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Satisfactory job performance will be determined by successful execution of the following:

1. Produce diagnostic radiographic images of anatomy and pathology using radiographic equipment to aid radiologists in the diagnosis of disease process.

2. Selection of appropriate equipment, and proper equipment adjustment to produce diagnostic radiographic images.

3. Responsible for the proper identification of patients, including correct medical record number and proper identification of all radiographic images.

4. Review each radiology request to determine necessary images needed for the completion of the exam, enter appropriate test data, history, and patient information and be able to discuss images to aid in interpretation by radiologist.

5. Responsible for completing examinations and successfully storing of images to PACS system and report generation.

6. Responsible for the cleanliness of work area and equipment assigned.

7. Performs required duties in technologist work area and office as needed.

8. Responsible for maintaining professional licensure and continuing education requirements, reviewing current technical literature, and evaluating new procedures and techniques for the purpose of recommending them to the Director of Radiology.

9. Provide technical support to staff members and physicians and assist with troubleshooting and basic inquiries involved in the daily operation of computers and radiology equipment.

10. Regular attendance is required.

11. Performs other duties as required.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
