REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer

Pathway is seeking a Director of Operations Management to join our leadership team and help drive operational excellence across our organization. Reporting directly to the CEO, this mid-level leadership role is pivotal in ensuring smooth internal operations, supporting innovative programs like the Driven 2 Success (D2S) Micro Transit initiative, and fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Financial Management

  • Oversee payroll processing and support financial reporting
  • Assist with board meeting preparation and documentation

Grants & Program Oversight

  • Manage and track grant activities, including writing and submitting reports
  • Monitor program data and ensure compliance with grant requirements

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Supervise and support staff, including performance evaluations
  • Champion a collaborative, respectful, and growth-oriented work environment

Executive & Administrative Coordination

  • Manage CEO’s calendar, meetings, and communications
  • Prepare reports and represent the CEO when needed

Program & Community Engagement

  • Lead the D2S Micro Transit Program and ensure its operational success
  • Attend community events and maintain strong partner relationships

Facilities & Logistics

  • Provide backup support for building operations and supply management
  • Assist with event setup and logistics as needed

Other Duties as Assigned:

  • Flexibly support various organizational functions as needed to ensure smooth operations

 

 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Services, or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in operations, finance, or program management
  • Proven leadership experience with diverse teams
  • Strong background in grant writing, case management, and budgeting
  • Deep alignment with our mission and the CEO’s vision

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must pass a background check and drug screening
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current insurance
  • Availability for occasional evenings and weekends
  • Familiarity with Indianapolis, especially the Far Eastside, is a plus

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Ability to work in an office setting for extended periods, including sitting, typing, and using office equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs for event setup and teardown (e.g., tables, chairs, tents, signage, supplies).
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching while performing field duties.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain, as needed for fieldwork and events.
  • Comfortable driving to various locations for meetings, outreach, or event coordination.
  • Ability to set up and break down event spaces, including assembling and disassembling equipment.
  • Occasional long periods of standing and moving during events or field activities.
  • Ability to adapt to physically demanding situations and lift, push, or pull objects as required.
