Description
The Worship Leader will develop and lead the Student Worship Ministry by helping plan, schedule and lead worship in a way that is important to Connection Pointe in our mission to connect people to Jesus and each other. This role will be split with 50% time spent in Students Worship Ministry and 50% in All Church Worship Ministry giving the incumbent the opportunity to lead in other venues as well.

RAISE THE STRONGEST GENERATION
By leading and developing a vibrant Student Worship Ministry, the Student Worship Leader cultivates a culture of worship that helps middle and high school students grow deeper in their faith and use their musical and spiritual gifts to lead their peers in authentic worship.
MAXIMIZE AND MULTIPLY JESUS FOLLOWERS
Through recruiting, mentoring, and equipping student volunteers, this role multiplies worship leaders and musicians who are passionate about following Jesus and serving His church, both within the Student Ministry and across Connection Pointe’s broader worship environments.
AMPLIFY JESUS ONLINE AND GLOBALLY
By planning and executing live and pre-recorded worship experiences—both in-person and digital—the Student Worship Leader helps extend the reach of worship beyond the walls of the church, connecting more people to Jesus through engaging and Spirit-led worship moments.
Key Responsibilities

Key job duties
- Participate in 2 Weekly Meetings with Student Team
- Participate in 1 Creative Planning meeting per month with the student team
- Plan, Communicate and Schedule using Planning Center Online for weekly worship events
- Recruit, coach and develop student volunteers
- Prepare weekly worship sets for Student Ministry
- Lead Sunday afternoon rehearsals weekly (2:30-4:30)
- Lead worship for Student Services weekly
- Plan and film pre-recorded worship services
- Plan and lead for Fall Merge event (Middle School & High School), and for Elevate in November (High School)
- Participate in weekly planning meetings for weekend worship services
- Play and lead on the platform in weekend worship services 2-3 weekends per month
- Occasionally host video elements for weekend services and for other church-wide initiatives as needed
KEY COLLABORATIONS
- Student Ministry Team – Coordinates weekly with the Student Pastor and student staff to plan and execute student worship services, events, and creative elements.
- Worship Ministry Team – Partners with the Worship Pastor and other worship leaders to ensure alignment of worship culture, musical standards, and scheduling across all venues.
- Production Team – Works closely with production staff and volunteers to deliver technically excellent worship experiences, including audio, lighting, and media support for student and weekend services.
