Core Responsibilities:
- Provide timely farming operations, including irrigation and frost watch, with frequent oversight from the Marsh Manager.
- Operation and daily maintenance of farming equipment used on the property with frequent oversight from the Marsh Manager.
- Assisting other employees in performing their duties efficiently and effectively. Promptly report problems or successes and any other reports the Marsh Manager requires.
- Following company safety policies and procedures.
- Performing duties as assigned daily by the Marsh Manager.
- All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Must be 18 or older with a valid driver’s license.
- Detail oriented and goal driven.
Education & Experience:
- Previous experience in farming and equipment operation is preferred.
- Experience in basic farm equipment maintenance is beneficial.
- Must work well with management and communicate well with others.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to walk long distances
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, and kneeling
- Must be willing to work outdoors, in all weather conditions
- Lift up to 75 lbs. occasionally, and 25 lbs. regularly.
- Requires the ability to clearly understand verbal and written communication from others in person and by telephone.
Work Schedule:
- The Cranberry Marsh Worker - Seasonal work schedule highly depends on the time of year and weather conditions. During Harvest, employees will be expected to work as needed, requiring much flexibility regarding the hours per day/week and the times worked.
- Work Hours: Typically, 6:30am to 4:30pm; however, earlier start and end times may be required and some weekends may be required.
- Hours Per Week: 40-50 hours per week.
- Duration of Employment: The seasonal position is needed from 9.24.25 to approximately 11.2.25. The harvest season is projected to end the last week of October.
Compensation:
The Cranberry Marsh Worker – Seasonal position pay is $18 per hour.
