Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the continuous operation and maintenance of equipment, systems, and facilities. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
Our Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. This position requires response to emergency work orders, inclement weather events, and other unforeseen needs of the business.
This position will require the use of business issued devices.
The Plant Operations Technician is responsible for performing routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance of the facility, equipment, grounds, and property to maintain a safe and pleasant environment for the residents, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Preventive Maintenance
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
- Inspect machinery and mechanical equipment to identify wear and potential failure.
- Replace parts such as belts, filters, and motors to avoid breakdowns.
2. Troubleshooting and Repairs
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or plumbing problems using appropriate testing devices.
- Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.
3. Equipment and Facility Upkeep
- Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
- Maintain building systems including lighting, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Paint, patch, and perform minor carpentry tasks.
4. Safety and Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
- Comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations and building codes.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities and report any safety concerns.
5. Recordkeeping and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment usage.
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software required.
- Report major repair needs or recommendations for equipment replacement.
