Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Program Manager/Director who will be the primary point of contact for our government field service programs business area, and will lead a team responsible for strategic leadership, project execution, and customer relationship management.  This role integrates cross functional teams including human resources, finance, field service managers and contracting to deliver exceptional program performance in accordance with government standards and contractual obligation. 

The ideal candidate will be able to manage services programs, supervise field teams, and develop a business strategy for organic growth in this expanding business area.  They would be a detail-oriented leader, client focused, and able to complete the timely and successful execution programs in compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

·  Serve as the primary interface with customers, ensuring contractual obligations are met or exceeded.

·  Supervise a US team to manage a growing portfolio of service contracts

·  Hire and manage CONUS and OCONUS field service personnel for US Government clients and prime contracts

  • Supervise a team of field service reps to support on-site activities, to include maintenance, training and repair of ground antennas, communication stations and network administration activities around the globe.

·  Perform program management tasks to successfully deliver service contracts

·  Lead and coordinate a multi-disciplinary internal employees as a unified Integrated Program Team (IPT).

·  Develop, maintain, and manage the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to ensure timely and high-quality execution of all program tasks.

·  Oversee all program reporting and ensure accurate, timely data is delivered to the customer.

·  Forecast and manage financial performance, including budgeting, funding, contractual modifications, and execution oversight.

·  Work closely with internal departments (HR, Contracts, Finance, etc.) to ensure staffing, credentialing, and reporting requirements are met.

·  Identify and pursue opportunities for program growth

·  Prepare and deliver program updates, operational reports, and formal briefings to internal leadership and government stakeholders.

·  Manage and mitigate operational risks, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements to enhance performance

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.  A master’s degree can be replaced with a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, and 15+ years in program or project management.
  • 10+ years of experience in program or project management, within the defense, aerospace, or telecommunications industry.
  • Strong understanding of government contracting processes (FAR, DFARS) and commercial contract requirements.  Strong understanding of services contracts and T&M/CPFF invoicing.
  • Understanding and experience in antenna and ground stations, network administration and communications.
  • Proven experience with managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present to executives and clients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with personnel hiring, timecard management, and general supervisor responsibilities.
  • Experience with, or proven ability to, create a business case for business area organic growth
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Tools (excel, word, powerpoint) and project management methodologies.
  • PMP certifications or equivalent
  • Active secret clearance.  The ability to acquire one expeditiously may be considered for a strong candidate.  Top secret is strongly preferred.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with antenna systems and related technologies, including portable and transportable antenna solutions.
  • Familiarity with Gov’t services contracts, particularly of field service site support and engineering services.
  • Experience working with government agencies (DoD, DHS, etc.) or major commercial clients.
  • This position is based in our Duluth, Ga facility but we are willing to consider remote work for exceptionally qualified candidates.

This position requires you to work in a restricted facility requiring US Citizenship.
