Qualifications and Education Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- 4-year bachelor’s degree or higher
- Prior experience in managing organized sports and sport leagues for adults and youth.
- 1-3 years of experience working with school-age children and teens.
- 1-3 years of customer service experience.
- Ability to plan, organize and execute long-term and short-term youth-focused programs that integrate Jewish values and skill development.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills as well as verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Sharepoint and Teams.
- Creative approach to marketing and promotion.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
- First Aid, CPR, and Universal Precautions certifications required – the JCC Denver can provide training.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant degree in sports management.
- Knowledge and experience of the Jewish community strongly preferred.
- 1-3 years as a coach, delegation head, or professional staff in the JCC Maccabi Games or similar program strongly preferred.
Physical/Mental Requirements (ADA Compliance)
Must be able to meet the physical demands of coaching sports for youth grades K-12 and adults including standing and walking for 2-3 hours and lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. Physical Requirements may include extended walking, standing, kneeling, crawling, and running as needed.

Full-Time employees of the JCC are considered benefits-eligible.
The JCC contributes a portion of medical, dental, and vision plan premiums. The JCC proudly pays for 100% of Basic Life Insurance, AD&D, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability coverage for benefits eligible employees. We also provide additional voluntary benefit plans.
The JCC has a 401(K) Plan available for elective deferral contributions for employees over 21 years of age with no waiting period. The JCC matches 50% of employee contributions, up to 3%, on a 5-year vesting schedule.
Paid Time Off is a day-one benefit, accrued based on years of service and in compliance with Colorado Health Families & Workplaces Act. First-year, benefits-eligible employees may accrue up to 120 hours of Paid Time Off in their first year of service. The JCC also provides paid-holidays and benefits-eligible employees are awarded up to 4 additional “Floating Holidays” per year, prorated based on date of hire.
