A Therapist is responsible for specific clinical services to assigned adults, youth, and families so that they may become healthy, independent and productive members of their communities. A Therapist is expected to exercise professional judgment and discretion as a significant practitioner in the successful integration of treatment for clients. A Therapist works designated shifts under the direct supervision of the Clinical Supervisor.
DUTIES:
1. ACCEPTANCE OF CASES: Has a willingness to accept a variety of cases.
2. ASSESSMENTS: Independently performs intake assessments and formulates diagnoses and case conceptualization using a culturally competent approach.
3. OUTCOMES: Regularly identify and complete data outcome elements in a timely manner.
4. STRENGTH BASED: Is capable of accurately identifying and building on the strengths of clients to better reach their potential.
5. THERAPY: Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence base psychotherapy interventions, and case management as needed.
6. REFERRALS: Demonstrates a sound knowledge of resources and ability to make appropriate referrals.
7. CLINICAL THEORY: Demonstrates a good understanding and use of clinical theory, interventions, and treatment concepts.
8. DOCUMENTATION: Submits thorough documentation including initial assessment, progress notes and notations demonstrating frequent collaborations with treatment team members.
9. PRODUCTIVITY: Completes timely documentation of all contacts with clients and maintains productivity standards set forth by the agency Tier System and internal policies.
10. RESPECT: Demonstrates respect for the intrinsic value of each person, their individual differences and culture.
11. TRAVEL: Travels independently to various environments as needed (buildings with stairs, various communities, schools, etc.).
12. COLLABORATION: Regularly collaborates with Masada Staff, clients, caregivers and supports, and other members of the clinical team.
13. ETHICS: Is able to set and follow appropriate boundaries and uphold legal and ethical standards as they pertain to mental health services, maintaining professional partnerships.
14. PROBLEM SOLVING: Is able to solve problems independently with minimal supervisory direction.
15. SKILLS: Demonstrates sound written and oral skills.
16. CRISIS: Ensures the safety of clients by providing direct crisis intervention and therapeutic guidance. Communicates critical issues to supervisor and team in a timely fashion.
17. MEETINGS: Is prompt and participates in meetings, group supervision, case presentations, and in-service training and conferences as required and scheduled.
18. TRAINING: Must complete training in Evidence Based Practices as available and receive a certificate within one year of completion of training.
19. CONFIDENTIALITY: Maintains strict confidentiality over all records and information related to clients.
20. OTHER: Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.
