Title: KVCC Human Resources Manager
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: Confidential, Level II, range of $49,759 to $67,975
Responsibilities:
The Human Resources Manager is a key position within the college’s team, responsible for managing the daily operations of Human Resources. This individual serves as a strategic partner to academic and administrative departments by ensuring the college attracts, develops, and retains a high-performing workforce. The Human Resources Manager supports a positive workplace culture and ensures compliance with labor laws, college policies, and collective bargaining agreements.
The role requires a balance of strategic planning, operational efficiency, and a strong understanding of human capital management in a higher education environment. The Human Resources Manager will collaborate closely with faculty, staff, administration, and union representatives to uphold the institution’s values of equity, integrity, and excellence.
This is a confidential position that provides support and guidance on onboarding of new employees and talent acquisition of new candidates and employees, the management of all human resources areas to include human resource management for the recruitment process of candidates, manages the required annual training of all employees, provides back-up for payroll administration and oversees the contract system for contractual employees.
This is an on-campus position.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field; a minimum of 3-5 years of experience that includes employment recruitment, payroll, and/or human resources; equivalent of work experience may be substituted for education on a year-to-year basis
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to foster trust and collaboration across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements practically and equitably.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in dealing with sensitive information.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Knowledge of personnel administration and payroll compensation procedures
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
