Title: KVCC Athletic Director
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level: MEA Administration, Level IV, with a pay range pending review.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall administration, planning, development, and oversight of the College's athletic programs, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and compliance with all relevant conferences and national athletic associations. This is a leadership role suited for someone passionate about student success, community engagement, and promoting a positive and inclusive athletic culture in a small college environment. This position is also responsible for the oversight of the physical plant known as the Alfond Recreation Center, supervision of student employees, building scheduling, and oversight of the fitness center.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, sports medicine, education, or related field
- 2 - 3 years of experience in athletics, sports, or recreation facilities.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Collegiate athletic experience, preferably as a player, coach, or previous athletic administrator.
- Background in student development, working with both traditional and non-traditional student populations.
- Knowledge of student recreational programming.
- Knowledge of student programming.
- Strong written and oral skills, in addition to computer skills that incorporate Word, Excel, Canva or any other designer software.
