The Maintenance Technician is responsible for safely troubleshooting, repairing and installing equipment within the manufacturing facility and ensuring that quality products are produced timely and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate basic knowledge and proper use of hand tools
- Troubleshoot and safely repair basic mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, and components
- Effectively prioritize equipment issues in order of importance, manage downtime, and communicate issues to peers and leadership. Escalate issues to experts or external resources as needed
- Read and interpret equipment drawings and OEM Manuals for packaging equipment
- Read and follow instructions regarding daily expectations, requirements, or specifications
- Accurately complete all work order and quality paperwork
- Report environmental, health, and safety concerns to leadership
- Troubleshoot and fix issues as they arise in a timely manner to allow production to meet business demands
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and maintenance shop
- Follow all safety procedures and actively participate in safety training and safety system ownership initiatives
- Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person; reports any injury, accident, or unsafe condition to supervisor immediately
- Support and comply with GMP’s; understand and follow emergency action plan
- Support food safety, quality, and legality
- Ensure the operation is providing food-safe, quality products which meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements
