HEAD MEN’S & WOMEN’S GOLF COACH

Bridgewater College, a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and NCAA Division III, is seeking applications for the position of Head Men’s & Women’s Golf Coach, to begin immediately. This is a full-time position, reporting to the Director of Athletics.

RESPONSIBILITIES:Â Â Â
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Recruiting qualified student-athletes with a commitment to academic success, in collaboration with the Admissions Office;
- Planning, scheduling, organizing and conducting practices and competitions, including necessary travel, accommodations and meals;
- Providing feedback and evaluation to student-athletes as to potential, progress, and performance;
- Demonstrating a strong commitment to the academic achievement of student-athletes by monitoring and actively encouraging participants to succeed academically and represent the College with the utmost integrity;
- Managing resources and budgets;
- Conducting fundraising and alumni development activities, as appropriate, under the guidelines of the Department of Athletics.
- Attending athletic staff meetings, mandatory student-athlete programs, admissions events, sports banquets and athletic fundraising activities;
- Working with the Office of Athletic Media Relations and the Office of Marketing and Communications with respect to internal and external publicity;
- Representing the College and the Department of Athletics in an appropriate and professional manner at all times;
- Complying with all NCAA, conference and college policies and regulations; and
- Performing such additional responsibilities within the Department of Athletic as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, and Master’s Degree preferred.
- Prior collegiate competitive playing experience preferred.
- Prior coaching experience, preferably Division III, with a track record of success preferred
- Prior recruiting experience preferred
- Demonstrated leadership skills and effective communication and organizational skills.
- Basic competency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the college’s auto insurance carrier.

Pay is competitive, and salary is commensurate with experience. This full-time position offers a full benefits package, including paid tuition at the College for eligible dependents.
