Location: Vernon, NJ         Reporting to: Sales Coordinator

Mountain Creek, a four-season resort, offering skiing/snowboarding, bike park, waterpark, weddings, mountain coaster, restaurants, and lodge.

 

How the Events Assistant  works with the Team:

 

The Part Time Events Assistant position provides leadership and coordination of Wedding and Corporate Events. Must maintain contact with all vendors during the planning period of events and act as a liaison with the guest gathering pertinent information for the events. Work closely with the Hospitality Sales Manager to ensure that all details are met for the event.    

Team Member Responsibilities:

  • Event Planning & Execution
  • Research appropriate opportunities (both within the resort and beyond) for creating   innovative events and experiences
  • Liaise with clients to identify their needs and to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Assist with event concept building and theme development
  • Order, distribute, and manage all event materials and execution items
  • Assist with menu and drink customization for events
  • Assist with all other event preparation, day-of execution and post event wrap-up
  • Additional tasks as directed by Management

Team Member Qualifications:

 

 

 

 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in event planning, organization, and execution
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Outstanding interpersonal and team building skills
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.)
  • Experience using Excel for data analysis, reporting, and spreadsheet management
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace tools for collaboration and document management
  • Motivated and hard-working
