PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, preemptive care and facilities management of his/her assigned properties which includes residential and programs for individuals with disabilities and other agency wide programs.

SCHEDULE:Â Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain a professional courteous manner with all individuals served, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
- Develop an ownership attitude, become a key resource and member of the residential teams of assigned properties.
- Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned. Maintain proper service records and documentation for each facility.
- Carry and monitor provided cell phone during regularly scheduled hours and during assigned on call periods.
- Cover 24/7 on-call maintenance, in rotation with staff, and direct/provide maintenance responses as required.
- Responsible for alerting the Facilities Manager of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that have taken place or that may occur.
- Assist in monitoring all outside contractor maintenance and improvement projects.
- Perform carpentry, painting, light plumbing and light electrical work as assigned.
- Complete grounds work as directed which may include lawn mowing, snow blowing, plowing, snow shoveling, picking up trash, sweeping, maintaining landscaping beds and other tasks as assigned.
- Monitor and maintain all appliances and building systems.
- Work within expense limits established and maintain inventory controls for cost effective operations.
- Complete payroll time sheets and daily activity reports
- Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State and Federal guidelines.
- Ensure compliance of all work related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner. Follow established company policies and those outlined in the Employee Guidebook.
- Coordinate special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined and assigned.
