General Vision

The Kids Classroom Coordinator supports Veritas Kids by ensuring all classroom spaces are fully prepared for Sunday mornings. This includes maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment; printing and organizing curriculum; and creating crafts and activities that help bring lessons to life. This role plays a crucial behind-the-scenes part in setting up volunteers, kids, and families for a meaningful Sunday morning experience.

Essential Job Functions 

Classroom Preparation

  • Ensure all classroom spaces are tidy, stocked, and ready for use each Sunday.
  • Refill classroom bins with necessary supplies (diapers, snacks, curriculum, etc.).
  • Check classroom equipment (tables, chairs, tech supplies) for functionality and cleanliness.

Curriculum & Activity Prep

  • Distribute curriculum on a quarterly basis.
  • Assemble teacher materials for each classroom based on weekly lesson plans.
  • Create crafts, games, and hands-on activities that align with weekly curriculum content.

Organization & Supplies

  • Track classroom inventory and communicate restocking needs to the Kids Coordinator.
  • Develop and follow weekly prep checklists to ensure all tasks are completed consistently and on time.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Family Ministry Pastor, Kid’s Staff and classroom volunteers to ensure alignment on curriculum and classroom needs.
  • Provide input on curriculum activities and supplies as needed.
  • Be present on Sundays to troubleshoot classroom setup, train new volunteers, and encourage/support volunteers.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to consistency
  • Creativity in developing and prepping crafts and activities
  • Ability to work independently and follow through on weekly tasks
  • Basic computer and printing skills

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or administrative experience preferred
  • Prior experience in children’s or youth ministry support roles a plus
  • Familiarity with gospel-centered children’s ministry curriculum is a plus
  • Must be able to pass a background check and complete required child safety training
     

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting at a desk for long periods of time working on a computer.
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word to impart oral information to individuals and large groups.
  • The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech in-person and on the telephone.
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and move classroom materials and supplies
