General Vision

The Kids Ministry Coordinator provides essential administrative and logistical support to both the Kids and Youth Ministries. This role ensures smooth communication with families and volunteers, manages curriculum production and supply inventory, and handles key details for ministry-wide events and environments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about supporting gospel-centered ministry to the next generation.

Essential Job Functions 

  • Curriculum Printing & Organization
    • Print and organize all curriculum for Veritas Kids on a scheduled basis (typically every 2 months).
    • Coordinate with Family Ministry Pastor to ensure curriculum needs are met and updated.
  • Communication & Coordination
    • Manage all mass communications for Kids and Youth Ministries, including:
      • Weekly/monthly emails to parents
      • Scheduling and updates for volunteers
      • Information to teenagers and youth parents (as needed)
    • Use church communication tools (email systems, apps, etc.) to ensure clear, timely messages.
    • Maintain updated contact lists and communication databases.
  • Supplies & Resource Management
    • Track inventory and purchase necessary materials within budget.
    • Organize and manage storage and supply rooms to support weekly programming and special events.
  • Room Reservations & Requests
    • Submit and manage room requests for all Kids and Youth Ministry needs, including weekly programming, meetings, and events.
    • Coordinate with facility teams to ensure space needs are met and set-ups are accurate.
  • Parent Commissioning
    • Coordinate communication, scheduling, and follow-up for Parent Commissioning events.
    • Organize participant materials and work with pastoral staff to ensure each event is meaningful and well-planned.
  • Event Support
    • Handle administrative and logistical details for ministry events. 
    • Support the Youth Team with large events such as YTH Con and YTH Camp by assisting with registration, supplies, communication, and logistics.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong organizational and administrative abilities
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple moving parts
  • Comfortable using spreadsheets, email platforms, and church management tools
  • Proactive, dependable, and able to work independently
  • Flexible and calm under pressure—especially during event prep

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or administrative experience preferred
  • Prior experience in children’s or youth ministry support roles a plus
  • Must be able to pass a background check and complete required child safety training
     

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting at a desk for long periods of time working on a computer.
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word to impart oral information to individuals and large groups.
  • The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech in-person and on the telephone.
