JOB TITLE:      DIRECTOR OF FUNDRAISING AND DEVELOPMENT-In Person position

REPORTS TO:  PRESIDENT                            

SALARY CLASSIFICATION:      EXEMPT

General Description:   The Director of Fund Development will be responsible for planning and directing all aspects of fundraising for the Elim Park Baptist Home, Inc. (Elim Park) and the Elim Park Foundation, Inc. (Foundation).  The Director of Fund Development will work to increase the current contribution revenue streams, which include Individual Giving, Planned Giving, Annual Appeals, Capital Campaigns, Major Gifts, Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorships, Grants, and Special Events. 

                

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Develop, implement and manage the annual fundraising plan and contributions revenue budgets for Elim Park and the Foundation and Nelson Hall Theater.
  2. Develop and execute planned giving strategies to increase the number of identified planned gifts to Elim Park, Nelson Hall, and the Foundation.
  3. Maintain strong relationships with all residents and donors through a dynamic stewardship plan.
  4. Provide open communication to all Elim Park residents and all other donors on a regular basis.
  5. Manage corporate partnerships as well as develop new relationships with potential sponsors/supporters.
  6. Develop and maintain professional community affiliations.
  7. Contribute as a functioning member of Elim Park’s Management Team.
  8. Strong grasp of development software and database management.
  9. Grant Writing.

Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a Human Services related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with increasing responsibility in leadership positions in fundraising. 
  • Proven experience in developing strategic, mutually benefitting fundraising partnerships.
  • Proven experience in planned giving instruments including Charitable Gift Annuities, Charitable Remainder Trusts, gifts from investments and life insurance. Bequests and codicils to will.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Effective communicator, both written and oral communication.
  • Professional, self-starter, results focused.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
