Description

Job Purpose:
- The Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe work environment on construction sites by developing, implementing, and enforcing comprehensive safety programs. This role is crucial in maintaining compliance with safety regulations and fostering a culture of safety awareness and proactive risk management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and enforce safety programs tailored to construction site operations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.
- Train personnel in safety protocols and emergency response procedures to enhance safety awareness and preparedness.
- Investigate accidents and analyze incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Communicate effectively with management and staff to address safety concerns and promote a culture of continuous safety improvement.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution.
- Stay updated on industry safety trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Prepare and maintain detailed safety documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Safety Manager role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proven track record of developing, implementing, and enforcing safety programs.
- Experience in conducting safety inspections and training personnel.
- Demonstrated ability to investigate accidents and analyze incidents effectively.
- Experience in communicating with management to address safety concerns and improve safety culture.

Preferred Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Certification in safety management or related field (e.g., OSHA 30 & 510).
- Experience with OSHA 300 logs
- Familiarity with incident reporting and risk assessment processes.
