JOB DESCRIPTION: The Sr.  HR Generalist is a multi-faceted and critical role that supports the logistics and warehouse departments of Bronco Wine Company.  The position serves as the contact for those departments.

Essential Duties:

  • Working closely with key logistics and warehouse business leaders, the position will require a strategic business partner approach to ensure that we have competent associates in the right jobs, appropriate staffing levels, and a strong bench to guarantee sustained business success.
  • Partnering with the leadership team, will provide expert advice, counsel, and coaching enabling senior leaders to run their businesses efficiently.
  • Responsible for Employee Relations and Compliance, and act as the principal expert in providing advice and counsel to employees and management on HR policies and practices, often involving highly difficult or sensitive human relations matters.  This includes ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, and company policies, procedures, and regulations for multiple markets. 
  • Designs and directs a process of Organization Development to addresses key employee retention/engagement strategies, organization design, and change management.
  • Develop and train ‘next level of leadership’ in the organization in anticipation of future demands of the business. 
  • Partner with customers to establish strategic group HR plans.
  • Manage annual Performance Management process including employee training and coaching, performance appraisal and personnel development planning
  • Works in conjunction with HR Director to address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns
  • Responsible for employee experience for specified customer group. Drafts on boarding plans,  30/60/90- and 6-month checks.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, affirmative action guidelines, and employment laws
  • Conduct needs analysis, develop, benchmark, pilot, and implement related HR programs to meet those needs. Analyze and implement company-wide initiatives based on solid analysis of root cause issues with the ability to critically assess the effectiveness of new or revised programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

 

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, leadership, associates, customers, and the public
  • Ability to successfully organize work and completed multiple tasks simultaneously
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
  • Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
  • Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials
  • High degree of professional ethics and sense of fairness
  • Excellent decision-making capabilities
  • Ability to guide others towards making sound business choices
  • Must have a knee understanding of Labor Laws to ensure compliance
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or human resources related field
  • 5+ years of directly related experience Human Resources Generalist supporting 300+ employees
  • Outstanding leadership and mentoring skills
  • Valid Driver License with clean driving record

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PHR, SPHR OR CHPR certification is preferred
  • 7 + years’ experience as a talent acquisition leader/HR Generalist, supporting 300 or more employees

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sit for an extensive period of time
  • Perform tasks using standard computer equipment

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED: 

  • Side shield safety glasses, safety vest, head/ear protection and proper footwear when in production facility
