Description

Job Summary: The Compact Equipment Sales Representative (CESR) is responsible for the business development and ongoing maintenance of compact equipment customers within assigned sales territory.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform daily activities in the sales department to include the following, but not limited to:

  • Developing and maintaining a solid base of customers for compact equipment sales.
  • Promoting the sales of compact equipment lines and customer support programs.
  • Maintaining targeted company profit levels on sales.
  • Ensuring customers are kept current with manufacturer’s information.
  • Maintaining high levels of product and service knowledge.
  • Taking positive action to improve quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting competitive market data.
  • Frequently visiting customer facilities and job sites to investigate current and future equipment needs.
  • Continually developing assigned sales territory and increase customer base.
  • Attend sales training to remain adequately informed of all compact equipment products and services.
  • Tow and show compact equipment to multiple customers per week.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Job Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required, bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or a related field highly desired.
  • 2+ years of successful sales experience in compact equipment or working with related equipment required.
  • Valid commercial driver’s license and ability to load, secure and haul compact equipment.
  • High proficiency in customer relationship skills.
  • Possess knowledge of compact equipment applications.
  • Discretion in handling confidential company information.
  • Positive personality, team player, problem solver, self-starter, outstanding integrity, superior communicator. 
  • Able to travel overnight for product training or company related business (<10%).
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical.
