Rescue Technician Requirements and Qualifications:
• Minimum - high school graduation or GED
• TWIC Card (have or have applied for)
• Able to pass evaluations for all training provided by F.I.R.S.T. in new hire class and annual refreshers (F.I.R.S.T covers the expense of these trainings): 40-hour Confined Space/High Angle Rescue Training , First AID, CPR, AED , Basic Plus and Site Specifics , Medical Protocols , SCBA Training , Monitor Training , Hazmat Awareness, Additional online trainings
• Mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing required
• Clean background check
• Current driver’s license
• Must be able to work at heights ranging up to 300ft above ground
• Physical requirements involve climbing ladders to reach heights while carrying tools/gear
• Must be able be able to life a minimum of 20 pounds
• Work outside year-round facing all different weather climates
• Organizational skills to keep paperwork and equipment in order
• Interpersonal skills to create a pleasant experience for all customers/employees
• Technologically compete
• Minimum of 3 days of availability put in weekly
Position Benefits:
• Part-time employment with the ability to work full-time hours based upon personal availability submitted and company work load
• Flexibility in schedule
• Base Pay: (depends based on experience and performance in new hire training) Rescue Technician: $16-$21. Non-billable rates (Training & Shop): $15/hour. EMT/Paramedics: If you have either one of these certifications and a client is asking specifically for this position, the rates will be increased $25+
• Ability to move up to full-time status with full benefits (health insurance, PTO, sick days, bereavement days, 401k, gym reimbursement) after 1 year tenure with good performance and company demand
