The Communications Director is responsible for leading and managing the Peachtree brand across all platforms, ensuring a cohesive and impactful presence. This role will guide the development and implementation of communication strategies, shaping messaging that is clear, consistent, and creatively engages both the congregation and the wider community.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise and develop the Communications Team.
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Brand Strategy & Oversight:
- Lead the development and execution of Peachtree’s communications strategy and marketing initiatives in alignment with our mission to join Christ daily in the restoration of all things.
- Steward the Peachtree brand across all platforms, ensuring consistency of brand voice, tone, message, and visual identity.
- Serve as a strategic partner to ministry teams, helping translate vision and goals into compelling communications that drives a response.
Messaging & Storytelling:
- Craft clear and engaging messaging that reflects Peachtree’s voice and values.
- Lead the storytelling strategy for the church, capturing transformation and life change across the communities of Peachtree.
- Provide copywriting, editing, and support for church-wide communications, including print, email, social media, and video.
Team & Project Leadership:
- Supervise and develop the Communications Team.
- Lead communication planning for church-wide initiatives, seasonal campaigns, and weekly content across departments.
- Manage timelines, deadlines, and project priorities with a high level of detail and professionalism.
Platform Management:
- Oversee content and messaging on all digital and print platforms, including website, social media, email, signage, video, and online church branding.
- Collaborate with the production team, worship team, and ministry teams to ensure communications are strategically aligned and executed.
- Evaluate and improve systems, tools, and processes to increase team efficiency and impact.
